Chesham area map From the M1:  Exit at Junction 8 and follow the A4147 into Hemel Hempstead. At the bottom of the hill, go "straight over" the large roundabout and follow this road past the Kodak building, past the railway station, and under the railway bridge. At the traffic lights, turn left by the Swan Public House, and follow the B4505 into Chesham, where you will arrive at a crossroad with a mini-roundabout in the centre. Go straight over the roundabout: Chesham High School is on your left; turn left at the sign marked "Leisure Centre".

From the M25(S):  Exit at Junction 18, and follow the A404 through Chorleywood and Little Chalfont to Amersham. See "From Amersham".

Chesham street map
From the M40 (J4):
Take the A404 through High Wycombe, and follow the signs for Amersham. See "From Amersham".

From Aylesbury via the A413:  Take the A413 to Great Missenden, then take the B485 to Chesham.

From Amersham:  Follow the A416 into Chesham. Go past the pond and Lowndes Park until you reach a Shell petrol station. Go up the hill to the right of the petrol station, and look for the sign for the Leisure Centre.

By rail:  Chesham is at the end of the Metropolitan Underground Line. From Baker Street, take an Amersham train to Chalfont and Latimer, then take the shuttle to Chesham. Walk straight out of Chesham station, past Waitrose, until you get to White Hill. Take the footpath to your right to the top of the hill, where you will see the sign for the Leisure Centre.

For a commercial Bartholomews map, click here. Note that the Leisure Centre is in the middle-right square, but this mapping gives a better representation of the Leisure Centre relative to the Town Centre.

The all-important post-session watering hole is "The Crown" at Ley Hill. Turn right out of the Leisure Centre and you come immediately to a mini-roundabout. Turn right (signposted "Ley Hill") and keep going for about 1 1/2 miles. Once you have been round a sharp right-hander you will see two pubs facing a green. The Crown is the nearer, larger and brighter of the two.
