Four hours sleep left everyone a shadow of their former selves, and it was a great effort to get everything cleared and the tent down and packed in order to catch the 6.45 train that would take us to the airport in time to catch our flight back to England.
Starting the journey home: Mark, Helen, Liz, Sara, Martin F, Andrew, Ed
With usual Dutch efficiency the train duly arrived and we arrived at the airport in plenty
of time. The return flight was routine and uneventful, but we probably would not have paid
any attention to what was going on around us if we had found ourselves sitting next to
Bruce Willis in the middle of one of his "Die Hard" disaster scenarios.
We landed at Luton on time, and said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. Martin R drove Martin F, Mark, Liz and Sara back to Chesham where spirits were revived somewhat with lunch at the Black Horse pub before finally dispersing and bringing our third tour to a close. For Sara, the tour lasted a few days longer, as she had the joys of trying to dry out the aircraft hangar!
Join us in Bologna and Turnhout (the final-scene traumas of this trip are not the norm)!
