The Chesham Octopush Touring and Drinking Club celebrated its first birthday by returning to the Memorial Mesareca tournament in Slovenia, the scene of our first ever overseas tour. A lot has happened in the last year, and our little fat dolphin is now a much sought-after commodity, a high-value currency in the shirt-swapping stakes. We took some extra time to see a bit of the country, met old friends and made new ones, and all had a superb time at the Masquerade, although we didn't move around too much. Oh yes, and our teams came third and seventh out of fifteen, so a great success all round.

Advertising blurb: the Chesham Octopush Touring and Drinking Club provides a vehicle by which individuals from any UK or overseas Octopush club can band together to take part in overseas tournaments. No further trips are scheduled at the moment, apart from a return to the 5-on-5 in Orkney in May. However, we may well receive invitations to return to Bussum, Bologna and Turnhout, the scenes of our visits last year, so watch this space. Social ability essential, playing ability optional . . .
