Frankfurt airport

Martin left work in Germany at half past three and made his way to Frankfurt airport. Fortunately, there was no sign of any delay to his flight, such as had beset other members of the TDC on the way to Slovenia, and he got to Heathrow without incident, where he was met by Sara.

A quick cup of tea at Martin's parents' and Sara headed off to do some emergency repair work on the "bomb site" that was her house (her words!), and start her packing. Martin followed at about half-past ten, to find that Sara had already gone to bed.

Sara had been complaining for a couple of weeks about problems with her computer, so Martin - incurable computer geek that he is - set to work troubleshooting, and upgrading everything in sight along the way. Four hours later, Sara's computer had new EVERYTHING, and amazingly, it still seemed to work. In the computer world, it's not often that a plan comes together . . .

With two hours to go until the four-thirty kick-off, Martin retired to bed.
