Back on the High Road . . . with a Vengeance!

Orkney 5-on-5: Thursday 6th - Monday 10th May 1999

The Touring and Drinking Club's second-ever return trip, this time to the home country's most northerly Octopush-playing point. At one point, it looked like we were going to be able to retain the same line-up as last year, but then Doug found himself unable to get time off work, and also got stopped and fined for speeding on his motorbike, so he was out of the running. With two days to go, Ed was struck down by a monster lurgie, so we were down to three. Who knew what would happen next?

Once again, we were the only competing team from south of Edinburgh, but we think our "Touring and Drinking" habits were rather better known this year . . . and we actually got to try the whisky this time!
