The Computing Practice, based in Northamptonshire, is one of the UK's leading financial computing houses, specialising in Navision and Sage Accounts. In 1999 it approached Reed Consulting (UK) Limited to design and implement a web site that would reflect its dominant position in the accountancy solutions market.

Reed Consulting drew on the company's existing public profile by utilising the design of The Computing Practice's existing corporate identity in its new internet web site, thus enhancing the perception and visibility of the company in the minds of its existing and prospective customers. The Computing Practice subsequently retained Reed Consulting (UK) Limited to design and implement its own customers' web sites.

  Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire-based
  mobile telecommunications outlets

 
Talking Mobiles is a small but successful chain of Buckinghamshire- and Hertfordshire-based mobile telecommunications outlets that prides itself on providing "Choice, Value and Service" to all mobile phone customers, from pay-as-you-go to large corporates. To reflect this emphasis on personal service and augment its existing High Street presence, Reed Consulting (UK) Limited was asked to design and implement a lively eye-catching web site that would appeal to this broad spectrum of customers.

This web site was to be implemented as a two-stage process, the first to list the range of products stocked by the shops, and the second a full e-commerce site, where all products could be purchased on-line. This second stage is currently under development and will be implemented in early 2003.

  wine bar,Northampton
Down Under is an Australian-themed wine bar based in Northampton, UK. It prides itself on its friendly intimate atmosphere, but is equally well-known as a venue for live-entertainment, showcasing local and nationally-known musical talents as well as providing a wide variety of specialist theme evenings.

Down Under already employed Reed Consulting Business Services to handle its image management and external promotions, and felt that its visibility in the area would be further augmented by a web presence. Reed Consulting (UK) Limited was brought in to design, implement and host a  web site that would reflect the welcoming spirit as well as the informal setting and diversity of the "Down Under". This site is hosted by Reed Consulting (UK) Limited and can be found at www.down-under.co.uk.
 


  Design and implementation
  of multi-lingual Web Site for
  UK's leading manufacturer of
  radiation shielding products

 
ITW-Mazel, part of the ITW-Devcon group, is the UK's leading manufacturer of radiation shielding products. A customer of The Computing Practice (see above), Mazel has a large presence in France and so, from the outset, the core requirement was for a basic web site but one that was fully bilingual, where all the pages were available in either English or French, depending on the language selected.

The Computing Practice employed Reed Consulting to design and implement this requirement. The design structure developed by Reed Consulting was a forward-thinking one that provided for a totally multi-lingual environment in which additional languages could be added at will. The web site was handed over to ITW-Mazel at the point of implementation, and can be found at www.itw-mazel.co.uk.
