Monday 25th October 1999
Most got up late, apart from Linda who had to leave at 4:30am, and Peter who had to leave at about 7am. Nobody heard either of them . . .
We had breakfast and paid our bills and then all went our separate ways, having arranged to meet back at the hostel at 2:45pm, with taxis booked for at 3pm.
Sara: "To clear our heads Sara, Colin, Ed, Martin F, and Rob walked round Dublin and along the river to the Dublin Mint. There were some interesting sculptures there, including a metal ball of barbed wire with a light in the middle, a symbol of Amnesty International."

It was then the usual milling around duty free. Sara, after great and protracted deliberation as to which one from an enormous pile of identical ones, bought a frog which she named Murph (for obvious reasons!). The rest bought the obligitory Jameson's whiskey or quaffed more Guinness in the bar before boarding the plane.
