Carol: "Going to bed at half past three with a wake-up call of quarter past five, you can well imagine what we looked like on our dash to the airport. Marieke, Martin and myself were the last to bed and the first up.........ouch.

Our Irish host of the previous evening, John, reliable to the last, picked us up and dashed us to the airport ......on time this time. When comparing notes later we discovered that all three of us had crashed-and-burned on the plane trip home.

Needless to say I died after I was collected in Manchester. Indeed, on the trip down from Manchester to London I only woke up somewhere near Oxford.

I can quite honestly say that I have enjoyed my trip to England, despite your awful weather, and "Dublin-on-Tour" has to go down as a highlight of my vacation. I hope to keep in touch with all my new-found friends and I will be back, but will try make it summer next time."
