The 2nd Annual "Memorial Bostjana Mesareca" Tournament in Kranj, Slovenia was the venue for the inaugural outing of the Chesham Touring and Drinking Club, the overseas-touring arm of Chesham Octopush Club. The purpose of the team is to provide a vehicle by which individuals from any UK or overseas Octopush club can band together to take part in overseas tournaments. All are welcome to join us on any tour upon payment of the entry ticket of a Chesham Octopush Club costume (we've got to look the part after all . . .)
Overall we came fourth out of eleven teams, in a field that included two national teams. Despite a shaky start, we quickly gelled both in and out of the water, with some excellent moves being put together under the water, and some serious hangovers being shared out of the water during the course of the weekend. Considering that a number of the players had not even met each other before arriving at the airport, it was an excellent result and a great start on which to build for the future.
Our next expeditions take us to GOV's home town of Bussum in The Netherlands on the 27th June 1998, followed by Bologna in Italy in late September 1998. Come and join us!
