The captains' meeting was at 9.00am and the previous night Martin R had been trying to convince Keith (Waterhouse, who was originally going to be playing with us) that he wanted to be captain after inside information from Leone via Martin F gave away the fact that our first game wasn't until 11.30am. Everyone managed to get up early though and by the time we'd reached the pool a coffee was in order, so after dumping our gear and food and watching the Puckaholics play their first early-morning cold water game (oh how we laughed!) we headed off in search of a coffee bar, which we duly found.

Ki: "On the way back to the bus stop a gaggle of CTDC members felt the urge to submit to nature's call and desperately searched the back streets of Bologna for a private corner with appreciative flora. At eye level everything appeared to be secret, but after relieving the tension Paul looked up to see the fearsome expressions of folks on their balconies who had been watching the baring of butts and bits."
